To date iReliefhas visited and conducted an initial assessment in the provinces of Capiz and Aklan two weeks after the super typhoon. It has also, conducted initial talks with the Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines’ Little RED SCHOOL HOUSE Project and Philippine Business for Social Progress’ (PBSP) TEN MOVES Project to explore possible areas for collaboration.
Last December 5, 2013 the project conductedrelief operations in the remote coastal barangays of Gabuc and Intungcan in Pontevedra, Capiz. The activity was made in partnership with the Social Action Center of Capiz(SAC) where food packs given by SAC and non-food packs containing two bars of laundry soaps, two bath soap, two packs of candles, one pack of match boxes, one toothpaste and three pieces of toothbrush from iRelief were given to 220 families.The latter also visited the damaged houses of its sister companies’ employees in Roxas City, Panit-an and Pontevedra to extend support.
